The 2025 Ten Outstanding Young Persons Selection Honours the Talent and Perseverance of Ten Young Hongkongers

Passionately devoted to pursuing their dreams, serving society with their achievements

(Hong Kong, 2 October 2025) The 2025 Ten Outstanding Young Persons Selection is sponsored by the Junior Chamber International Hong Kong, China (JCIHK). This year the independent judging panel selected ten winners, including three current and former Hong Kong athletes, three performers of Chinese and Western cultural works, one expressive arts therapist, one medical specialist, one veteran accountant (and Legislative Council member) and one entrepreneur. Coming from different sectors and backgrounds, the ten winners all share a deep love for Hong Kong: They have continued to passionately chase their dreams, seek life goals with an international perspective, and put full effort into achieving their aspirations, while also leveraging their special skills in service to Hong Kong.

This year's selection is based on the theme of "Daring to dream with passion, Forging hardship into excellence," highlighting the indomitable spirit of Hong Kong people as they passionately pursue their dreams and forge their own epic stories through relentless perseverance. This year's Chief Judge, Dr. Carlye Tsui Wai-ling, SBS, JP, observes, "The Ten Outstanding Young Persons Selection has continued for more than half a century as Hong Kong's longest-running youth award, testifying to its value. This year, reading so many stories about the struggles of idealistic and ambitious young Hongkongers has given me hope for Hong Kong's future. This year's ten awardees come from different backgrounds and professional sectors, including three performers of Chinese and Western cultural works, three current and former Hong Kong athletes, one medical specialist, one veteran accountant (and Legislative Council member), one young entrepreneur and one expressive arts therapist. Each has won outstanding commendations at home and internationally in their respective fields. Their persistent and passionate pursuit of their dreams demonstrates the wide-ranging talent of Hong Kong's young people, as well as providing a catalyst for breakthroughs. I encourage this year's honourees to strive even harder to improve themselves and to advance toward their next goals, while also continuing to serve their community.”

The JCIHK has founded the TOYP since 1970, making this year the 53rd selection. This year's Honorary Patron is the HKSAR Chief Secretary for Administration, Eric Chan Kwok-ki, GBS, IDSM, JP.
